Individual Therapy for Adults in Columbus, Ohio

You've been holding a lot together. Maybe it's anxiety that won't quiet down, a loss you're still carrying, a relationship that feels strained, or a season of change that has you second-guessing everything. Individual therapy gives you a place to slow down, make sense of what's happening, and build skills that help you feel steadier in your life and your relationships. And because how you're doing affects the people closest to you, we'll pay attention to how changes ripple through your family too.

How Individual Therapy Can Help

Anxiety, depression and burnout

Learn to calm racing thoughts, manage worry, lift low motivation and respond to stress without burning out.

Grief and loss

Make room for grief after the death of a loved one, a divorce, or another loss, at your own pace.

Relationship challenges

Understand your patterns in relationships with partners, parents, adult children and friends, build confidence and self-esteem, and practice new ways to communicate.

Parenting stress

Get support for the pressure of raising kids, co-parenting or caring for aging parents while still taking care of yourself.

Life transitions

Find your footing through a move, a new job, an empty nest, a separation or any change that has shaken your sense of direction.

What sessions look like

Sessions are 50 minutes, in person at our Columbus office or by telehealth anywhere in Ohio. We'll start by understanding what brought you in and what you want to be different, then work toward those goals with practical, evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed coping skills, motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy.

Investment

Individual sessions start at $140. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement.

Individual Therapy FAQ

How often will we meet?

Most clients start weekly or every other week, and we adjust as you make progress.

Can therapy help with relationship problems if my partner won't come?

Yes. Changing how you respond often changes the whole relationship. If your partner joins later, couples counseling is also available.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before I start?

Not at all. Many people come in simply feeling stuck, overwhelmed or “not like themselves.” We’ll sort through it together in the first few sessions and set goals that feel right to you.
